A mother’s wise words.

I am so proud of you!  And I am so excited for you and all of the wonderful new things happening in your life!  It makes missing you much easier because you are so happy!  If you were unhappy, being away from you might be unbearable!
As classes start tomorrow… A little advice for you!

1.  I think you may be surprised at how challenging some of your classes are going to be!  Try to remain calm and give yourself time to adjust.  You’re a smart girl and you will catch on soon enough!
2.  Turn your phone off at the start of class.  ALL the way off!  You’re paying a ton of money for these classes.  You will have alot of work to do on your own, so when you are in class, focus on your professor and what they have to offer you.  All your messages will be there for you when you’re finished.  I think this would be an awesome habit to get I to from the very beginning!
3.  Don’t be shy to ask for help if you need it!  They have a ton of resources available for you.  Make use of them if you need it!  There is a reason it costs $50,000 a year to go there. :)
4.  Get enough to eat and get plenty of sleep!  You have to take care of yourself.  You will end up sick and sleepy.
5.  Don’t procrastinate!  Work first and them play all you want without having to worry!
6.  Remember that I love you more than anything.   Anytime day or night… Whatever you need, I’m always here for you.  Just call over and over til I wake up. :)

P.S.  Don’t drink the punch.  AND remember…. Girls give sex for love, BUT boys give love for sex.  :)

reminisce

It’s strange how you don’t really think of your past in detail until your life is about to drastically change. I wish i could completely and fully express how excited i am about moving out to college and in a way starting over. It’s time to forget my past regrets, all the shady friends, and every pestering teacher I have met in my 17 years in Rockwall. It’s time for a new beginning and god willing, it will be the greatest time of my life.

I went on a roadtrip today. It was pretty much the best day ever.

I LITERALLY CAN NOT WAIT. 2 Weeks!

I LITERALLY CAN NOT WAIT. 2 Weeks!

life doesn’t stop for you

Its very enlightening when you wake up and actually have a revelation about why certain things happen to you in your life and/or why you associated with certain people. You wonder after a recent break up or after you and your “bestfriend” split ways what you did wrong and why the relationship didn’t work out. However, sometimes blaming yourself is not the right way to go about reviewing the relationship as a whole. I woke up this morning and realized it was the other person that had deeper problems and had other issues that affected our friendship and was ultimately its downfall. With this revelation i learned to take the good with the bad as well. I often times wish certain people out of my life and resent certain friends for making life hell sometimes, however, who would i be without these experiences? This was just a vent because I finally feel i can turn the page starting the new chapter of my life that is starting in a short 2 weeks as i move to Waco, Texas to start my college career. Think of yourself as beautiful and wonderful and sublime; don’t ever let anyone ever make you think differently.
